Jordan has a rare liver disorder which makes his blood sugar levels drop dangerously low. There’s no cure for what he has yet, but Dylan decided he was going to help his bestie get better.

So two years ago, at age 6, Dylan wrote a book for Jonah called Chocolate Bar (his term for “awesome,” which he calls Jonah). He sold 200 copies of it at a school event. In just a few hours, he had raised $5,000.

Since then, Chocolate Bar has sold 25,000 copies in over 60 countries worldwide…and Dylan has reached his $1 million goal! All the proceeds from Dylan’s book goes to the University of Florida, where researchers are feeling optimistic, saying, “It’s now reality, it’s not just a dream that these children can be cured.”
